The Psychotherapy Cooperative
A Non-Profit Organization in Seattle
Offering Affordable Psychotherapy Services
for the Community
The mission of the Psychotherapy Cooperative is to provide affordable counseling and therapy services to those who are not otherwise able to afford these services from therapists in private practice or from community mental health agencies. The goal is to provide quality counseling services where the duration and style of therapy is determined by the needs of the client rather than by limits imposed by insurance companies, managed health care, or limited income.
About Our Therapists
The therapists in the Cooperative are mainly graduates of the Masters of Psychology program at Seattle University. This program emphasizes an in-depth understanding of people within the context of their lives. Each therapist discusses his or her philosophy and approach with clients before treatment begins. The Cooperative therapists are Washington State licensed or registered mental health counselors. Several faculty members of Seattle University Master’s program serve as consultants to the therapists.
